Mowing & Brushcutting Team Leader - Nillumbik Shire Council

Are you ready to take the lead in maintaining and beautifying the green spaces of the Nillumbik Shire community? Skyline Landscape Services, contracted by Nillumbik Shire Council, is seeking a dedicated Mowing Team Leader to spearhead our landscape maintenance efforts.

• Permanent full time position
• 38 hours per week - 7.00am to 3.30pm
• Overtime available, although not required
• Nillumbik Shire location

As the leader of our Mowing Team, you will lead the charge in maintaining the utmost standards of landscape maintenance in the Nillumbik Shire community. Your duties entail supervising a team of experts and guaranteeing the careful maintenance of roadsides and laneways.

• Complete landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, brush cutting, edging, pruning, planting and hedging
• Conduct litter removal and weed control operations
• Apply herbicides using back sprayers
• Lead, train and organise the team to meet project requirements
• Maintain accurate daily reports of tasks completed
• Ensure all necessary documentation and reporting such as risk assessments, SWMS and timesheets are completed promptly

• Demonstrated experience in landscape maintenance, particularly in mowing and related experience
• Proficient in operating an out front / front deck ride-on mower
• Previous experience in Team Leadership or supervision is preferred
• Possession of a valid manual driver's licence is preferred
• National Police Check is required (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Children Check is required (or willingness to obtain)
• Qualification in Parks & Gardens or Horticulture is desirable
