MR Driver/Tree Planter

They provide unparalleled knowledge and experience in their Open Space division, arboriculture work and tree management, Parks and Gardens, sportsfield maintenance and turf renovations. 

Their service is delivered by a highly professional team of experienced and passionate staff committed to ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard with safety at the forefront at all times.

Due to Autumn arriving, they have immediate requirements for Tree Planters in a casual capacity (fulltime hours) with a view to permanency, based at the Moorabbin depot.

 This position has 2 distinct seasonal roles, during the warmer months it is predominantly watering of newly planted street trees. With small amounts of staking, mulching & maintenance of trees as required. Throughout the cooler months (beginning in April) the role is focused on planting established trees, staking and mulching, using machinery & hand tools as required

• Tree planting & maintenance
• Tree watering
• MR Truck driving

Skills and experience

• Commercial Parks & Gardens & Horticulture experience highly desirable but not essential as full training can be provided
• MR/HR licence, highly desirable
• A desire to work in the outdoors
• Fit, healthy and work well within a team
• Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Strong commitment to and working knowledge of safe work practices
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence
• Any certificates in Horticulture/Arboriculture desirable but not essential
