This role provides a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable the Cancer Services Department, St George Hospital to achieve their objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Selection Criteria * Effective written and verbal communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service approach that includes a demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service, adhering to workplace practices and procedures
- High level organisational skills, with demonstrated capacity to use initiative to prioritise work and meet competing demands in a high volume work environment
- Fostering a highly consultative and collaborative relationship with all internal and external partners, including but not limited to patients, carers, clinical and non-clinical staff
- Well-developed skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, including a knowledge of Patient Information Systems
- Ability to be compassionate with a demonstrated sensitive approach when dealing with patients and carers, including a commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including flexibility in working across different areas and enabling adjustments to workflow as required
- Ability to work proactively, unsupervised and as part of a team.
