Job description:
Play a pivotal administrative support role to the statewide Multisystemic Therapy team and contribute to an important program for high-risk young people.
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) delivers a Multisystemic Therapy (MST) program within the Youth Forensic Mental Health Stream.
MST is an intensive family and community-based therapeutic program focused on supporting young people aged 12-17 years who have severe challenging behaviours, including offending. It is a new program in Tasmania, with a unique service model that requires MST program staff in innovative ways.
Primary Purpose:
The MST Administration Officer plays a pivotal administrative support role to the statewide MST team and the MST program.
This position provides an efficient, effective and confidential support to the statewide MST Team and Program, which includes preparing, coordinating and management of confidential documentation and competing priorities.
The Role:
Provide high-level administrative support to the MST Supervisors and statewide MST team including:
Scheduling meetings and other appointments, as directed, including the compilation of agenda papers and the taking of minutes (written and audio transcription), preparation of correspondence
Organising and coordinating MST training, events and other appointments
Coordinating all travel and accommodation bookings for the MST team and program
Undertaking accurate word processing and data entry, utilising a range of software packages
Assisting in day-to-day problem solving by recognising and investigating issues as they arise and proactively contributing to solutions.
Complete and coordinate a monthly Therapist Adherence Measure – Revised (TAM-R) survey with each family participating in the MST Program by phone, during flexible hours that are convenient to the family, and collate the results. This includes:
Following established MST data collection procedures to collect comprehensive and accurate data regarding families’ experience of the MST program.
Collecting program outcomes data from all client families within the MST program including offending, school attendance, and out of home placement - prior to treatment, post treatment and at follow up intervals, as well as liaison with other agencies as appropriate.
Record and upload client data, in accordance with DoH protocols and processes, in the statewide Patient Administration System (iPM) to provide visibility of a client’s journey.
Develop appropriate systems and processes to ensure effective and efficient information management to the statewide MST team and program
