National, senior leadership opportunity for you to lead and manage a team of technical operators across the Eastern Seaboard.
THE ROLE
Our Power Projects Team has created a new role for a National Commissioning Manager as we aim to expand our commissioning capabilities. This role will be based out of our Melbourne Office, and you will be responsible for leading a technical team of professionals, including Lead Commissioners, commissioning testers, and external service providers across the Eastern Seaboard.
The role covers the entire commissioning process, from pre-commissioning to commissioning, and provides technical support, advice, and mentoring on all testing and commissioning-related matters during the feasibility and estimating phases of the project lifecycle. As a national role, you will also be involved in New Business where you will leverage your commercial acumen during the tender phase.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end oversight and involvement in delivery. Plan and support the commissioning phase of power projects including client, internal and external stakeholders.
- Enable successful commissioning and provide specialist input.
- Manage and mentor specialist team and build specialist expertise to capture value.
- Technical support and subject matter expertise for opportunity capture, new business, and customer relationships.
- Actively manage the profitability of the operational cost centre to achieve budgetary targets.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven track record in engineering/commissioning of power/transmission projects or similar
- Electrical engineering tertiary qualification or similar, construction white card, and current driver's licence.
- Leadership skills to effectively mentor and grow a team of highly skilled and experienced technical resources required for existing and emerging market opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders up and downstream.
- Proven positive customer relationship experience and ability to build strong customer relationships that result in repeat business opportunities.
- You are willing to travel, as projects may be located anywhere within Australia.
