DEMAND PLANNING ANALYST

About your new role…

We have an amazing opportunity to join our fun and friendly Planning Team as our Demand Planning Analyst. Your role will be to assist the Demand Planning team to generate and maintain robust forecast plans which drives customer service improvement, product/sku availability, production efficiency and accuracy for the S&OP Monetised plan. You will complete in-depth analysis & scenario modelling, integrating category intelligence to understand insights into customer trends and enable better forecasting. The forecasting system is critical to the role, with management of the current APO system, as well as transition to new technology a core focus. 

What you will be doing…
 

  • The complete in-depth analysis & scenario modelling, integrating category intelligence, to understand insights into consumer and customer trends to enable better forecasting. 
  • Leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & Market Intelligence Research to support insights into forecast trends analysis. 
  • Coordinating with the Demand Planning, managing and coordinating all Product Lifecycle activities (NPD and Deletions) related to forecasting is done on time and aligned with customers and supply planning. 
  • Driving the automation of the Forecasting process, through system optimisation & differential forecasting approaches 
  • Working with IT, to ensure forecast data integrity issues are resolved across all levels of data (down too; by SKU by state, by location, by customer) 
  • Ensuring accuracy of Acumen to APO forecast information is reconciled in a timely fashion 
  • Ensure the maintenance of statistical models as a key input into calculation of baseline forecasts, with overlays on promotions, NPD, category performance or pricing adjustments.  

Let’s talk about you…

  • Experience in FMCG / Supply Chain / Planning roles, with analytical, demand or supply planning background. 
  • Understanding of demand and/or supply planning processes and analytics.  
  • Developed business and commercial acumen. 
  • Ability to think critically in complex situations when dealing with data from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP APO or similar Forecasting Tool. 
  • High degree of computer literacy, particular in MS software packages (excel, power BI)
