Job description

Our client is a privately owned market leader in the health and fitness sector with significant growth plans for their franchise network over the next 12 months.

This is an outstanding opportunity to influence the business in its next phase or growth. Leading a team of business managers, you will facilitate critical business planning and review process with franchisees to execute business plans that maximise their profit.

Growth will be achieved via measurable outcomes with a specific focus on operational systems and processes. This role demands a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills and demonstrable experience in building relationships and managing change.

The Role

Your team will regularly meet franchise partners to discuss performance results and share insights against benchmarks, set meaningful goals and drive improvement initiatives.

There is also be a hands-on focus to observe operational activities and ensure alignment with operations guidelines and statutory obligations, and to provide practical advice and training to assist with day to day operational efficiency.

You will implement strategies to enhance training effectiveness and monitor the training of franchise partners and their teams. To support network expansion goals, you and your team will proactively identify key talent who could be developed into a franchise partner.

Franchise partner engagement and satisfaction is driven by this role, with network attendance at your network meetings and events a key driver of your overall contribution and success.

Your Experience

You’ll have a proven background in franchise leadership in the health & fitness sector, with a natural and credible communication style. You will also forge relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and understand the value of taking people on a journey. 

With an ability to work independently and collaboratively within and across teams, success is assured as you:

  • lead teams to work collaboratively with franchisees to achieve both sales growth and brand standards improvement
  • manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
  • have advanced commercial acumen and understand financial metrics
  • are a solution oriented individual who will ask questions, embrace advice and take initiative where appropriate
  • be naturally curious and have a desire to improve systems and process and find opportunities for efficiency
