The role:
As the Head of Development, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development projects across our diverse portfolio of mixed-use assets.
Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire development lifecycle, working with the capital transactions team to advise on site acquisition and divesment strategy, managing state based development leads and with oversight of construction.
This role requires strategic vision, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong understanding of the real estate market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive development strategies aligned with the company's objectives, and to the highest quality standards; working with various inhouse property and development teams to ensure allignment on one clear objective
- Work with the Cap trans teams to evaluate new development opportunities, conducting feasibility studies, market analysis, and risk assessments to inform decision-making.
- Drive innovation and sustainability initiatives throughout the development process, integrating best practices and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes.
- Monitor and report on project performance, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes, and incorporate insights into development strategies and plans.
- Bachelor's degree in property related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex assets;Australian exposure to planning and legislations essential.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving collaboration across multiple locations.
- In-depth knowledge of the development process.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel monthly interstate.
