The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is seeking a National HR Manager to join our human resources function and operate from our Melbourne office with some interstate travel as required. As the National HR Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of HR Business Partners, supporting Veolia’s operations in servicing clients and delivering on activities that achieve strategic objectives. This role reports to the General Manager HR Partnering.

What you will be doing
- Provide relevant, accurate and timely People advice to senior stakeholders
- Develop Manager/Supervisory Capability on People matters.
- Resolve complex people, client and stakeholder matters
- Lead the IR strategy for your lines of business
- Contribute to People projects that lead to commercial or efficient outcomes
- Lead People responses to complex tenders
- Actively promote Veolia’s Always Safe Culture
What you’ll need to be successful
- 8 + years experience in a generalist HR role with proven experience in ER, IR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Human Resources) or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience managing a team Strong understanding of the Australia Employment Framework including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and able to succinctly understand various Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing skills and an ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders
- High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, think creatively and recommend strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolution.
