HR/People and Culture Manager

The Company
Our client is one of Australia's premier fresh food manufacturers with a proud 50-year history, a staff of circa 220, privately owned/operated and located in West Footscray.
The Role
To support significant growth, they now require an experienced HR/People and Culture Manager to inspire, lead and develop people to achieve outstanding results.
This is a challenging, varied, and exciting HR/P&C Management role reporting directly to the CEO and supported by an HR/OH&S Coordinator. It will not be a walk in the park! Working with fresh food requires the business to be very fast paced. The business Strategy is clear, and you will have the opportunity to make the role your own:
- Create the P&C Strategy and Operational Plan and implement across the business
- Review and improve on the existing Performance Management and L&D plans
- Review and improve the attraction and retention strategies
- Lead the recruitment for all roles across the business - predominantly blue collar
- Support the Management team to be more effective leaders
- And manage and develop the HR/OH&S Coordinator
The HR/People and Culture Manager
You will bring:
- An unrelenting commitment to Safety and the development of people
- Demonstrated capability in developing and implementing HR Strategy, preferably in a food or manufacturing company with "fresh product" highly regarded
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
- Experience working in a blue-collar environment
- Family business experience ideal
- A strong knowledge of Workplace law
