Job description

Australian Venue Co. is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to take on the pivotal role of National Kids and Community Programs Facilitator.

The role purpose is to spearhead a diverse range of programs for a portfolio of AVC venues across Australia through the curation and management of a kids and community program. The program will include the coordination and management of a national kid’s club loyalty program alongside creative and innovation programming to position AVC family friendly pubs as the destination of choice within the local market. The activities and programming will aim to engage and captivate kids in an interactive and fun way, making their overall experience at an AVC venue memorable, enticing parents to return regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with key support teams, develop and execute a national strategy and playbook for best in market Kids & Community programming, menu innovations, workshops, live shows and activations, ensuring the suggested programming has clear ability to deliver ROI.
  • Work with Executive Chefs to develop innovative kids menu options that can be incorporated into menus at family friendly venues
  • Work alongside the brand, marketing & digital teams to develop a national Kids Club loyalty program, integrating this with the existing AVC loyalty program, The Pass
  • Receive and respond to briefs from venues requiring an investment or focus on building a kids program. This will include researching, sourcing and building a budget for different programs or activations that can be layered into a venue to drive revenue with kids and families.
  • Work alongside venue and marketing teams to develop the calendar of Kids & Community events 6 months in advance, ensuring scheduling alignment
  • Establish relationships with third party suppliers such as entertainment providers, booking agents and mechanising suppliers that can be accessed by venue and marketing teams
  • Plan and organise school holiday programs that can be rolled into Tier One family venues
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of large-scale kids and family events including logistics, venue set, AV requirements and logistics such as bump in
  • Develop and maintain Kids & Community brand’s organic social media platforms and other relevant channels to assist drive awareness and attendance for upcoming events.
  • Work alongside venue marketing team to ensure the major kids and family events are promoted on venue channels as well as through the Kids & Community brand platforms
  • Track and analyse event metrics, attendance data, and customer feedback to continually refine strategies and improve future programming and events
  • Ensure all administrative requirements are met regarding ROI reporting, invoicing, etc.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, creative ideas and new innovations, proactively sharing with venue and marketing teams.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Educational Background: Preferably, a background in teaching, learning & development, providing a solid foundation for designing and delivering engaging educational programs.
  • Passion and Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep-seated passion for sustainability, indigenous culture, wellness, and community engagement, coupled with a strong understanding of these areas.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively liaise with external facilitators and content experts, leveraging their expertise to enhance program content.
  • Program Development Expertise: Proven experience in developing compelling educational programs, including crafting course content and educational materials.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, essential for effectively engaging with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Hold current First Aid accreditation and a Working with Children Check, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Organizational Acumen: Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, crucial for managing multiple programs and deadlines effectively.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, showcasing an understanding of the nuances of community program facilitation.
