In the role of a trusted advisor, you will utilize your distinctive blend of regulatory knowledge, analytical skills, and interpersonal abilities to deliver strategic counsel on vital matters, policy guidelines, and inventive strategies. Offering advice to senior level executives, including the down to earth and charismatic National Payroll Manager, Payroll Transformation Project Lead.

"Snapshot of requirements"

  • Ensure overall payroll (iChris system) compliance with regulatory framework
  • Assist entities with implementation of routine self-audit processes including the development of necessary payroll reports
  • Coordinate communication with Payroll personnel on payroll process changes required and establishment of a continuous improvement program
  • Examine the company’s payroll processes to ensure they’re up-to-date, legally compliant, and up to the highest industry standards by measuring key variables, including wages, pay rates, and tax withholdings
  • Analyse the systems, processes and structures of the existing payroll administration to identify errors and deficiencies and recommend procedure changes
  • Provide Division and entity leadership with summary reports and recommendations on changes to make sure the company is prepared for external audits
  • Implement procedures and processes to eliminate payroll ‘ghost’ employee's fraud from the payroll list, remove former employees, and account for paid and unpaid leave

About you! 

  • Experience with chris21 or iChris payroll systems is highly advantageous, though not a mandatory requirement
  • Extensive experience in payroll and/or payroll auditing
  • Familiarity with tax and payroll regulations
  • Understanding of payroll and payroll tax regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll and auditing software
  • Possessing a keen eye for detail along with excellent mathematical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fantastic personality & sense of humour (A Must) 😊
