Opportunity for an experienced Payroll Governance and Compliance Manager to join our Compensation and Payroll team, where you will be responsible for process and data integrity for the all compensation and time and attendance processes and inputs to the Australian payroll, including ensuring accurate implementation of Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage, develop and drive the strategy and processes for Compensation /Payroll and Time and Attendance compliance
- Drive a consistent approach in performing payroll related activities and documentation to support payroll changes.
- Develop and maintain documentation and controls for all processes, and data management to drive process optimisation, strong controls and a reduction in the overall risk profile.
- Support business, HR and IR teams to review and interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Implement controls for managing Enterprise Agreement rates and allowances, manage tactical solutions for implementing changes and back pay, and accurate pay outcomes.
- Lead and provide assurance around payroll compliance and develop reporting protocols. Update monthly dashboard of key KPI's.
- Oversight of systems compliance - user access, rates management and maintenance.
To ensure your success you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar senior compliance position
- Experience working in governance, compliance risk and controls
- Excellent knowledge of Australia's industrial relations system, including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and experience interpreting industrial instruments including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Demonstrated understanding of the payroll landscape and knowledge of a large Payroll system
- Prior leadership experience in a complex matrix environment
- Ability to understand and apply risk management practices, approaches and framework.
