Seeking a Payroll Compliance Manager to join our Payroll Team, where you will be responsible for process and data integrity for the Australian payroll, including ensuring accurate implementation of rates and agreements.
As Payroll Compliance Manager you will work across the payroll team and be part of the payroll leadership in Australia and work closely with key stakeholders across Business HR teams, IR specialists, Time and Attendance and site Operational Management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage, develop and drive the strategy and processes for Payroll compliance
- Payroll review and interpretation of Awards and Enterprise Agreements working in conjunction with the ER/IR team, HRBP’s and business leads.
- Implement controls for managing Enterprise Agreement rates and allowances, manage tactical solutions for implementing changes and back pay, and accurate pay outcomes.
- Lead and provide assurance around Payroll Compliance and develop reporting protocols. Update monthly dashboard of key KPI’s.
- Drive a consistent approach in performing payroll related activities and documentation to support payroll changes.
- Develop documentation and controls for all processes, and data management to drive process optimisation, strong controls and a reduction in the overall risk profile.
- Oversight of systems compliance - user access, rates management and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar senior payroll position
- Excellent knowledge of Australia’s industrial relations system, including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and experience interpreting industrial instruments including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Demonstrated understanding of the payroll landscape and knowledge of a large Payroll system
- Experience working in governance, compliance risk and controls
- Prior leadership experience in a complex matrix environment
- Ability to understand and apply risk management practices, approaches and framework.
