About the Position:
As the National Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and excellence across all facets of their operations. Your key responsibilities include:
- Oversee workplace health and safety, environmental management, and quality management activities, ensuring full compliance and proactive involvement in incidents, accidents, and injuries;
- Integrating Environmental and OH&S management systems into business processes;
- Leading quality management initiatives, ensuring overall compliance with Quality Management System standards;
- Conducting internal audits and implementing quality control procedures locally and overseas;
- Managing freight contracts, and conducting cost reduction investigations
- Collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, including suppliers, to maintain high-quality standards and operational efficiency;
- Manage special projects liaising with relevant stakeholders; and
- Analyse and generate quarterly and monthly reports.
Skills & Experience required
- Extensive experience as a Quality Manager or in a similar role with formal qualifications in Quality Management;
- Significant experience in chemical and steel manufacturing operations;
- Demonstrated international sourcing with proven cost savings experience;
- Ability to conduct operational internal audits and manage special projects effectively;
- Strong data and analytical skills for procurement, cost reduction, and forecast usage schedules; and
- Excellent communication, leadership, and proficiency in formal reporting and meeting obligations.
