Job description

The role

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in talent acquisition for one of Australia's leading law firms? We are looking for a National Recruitment Consultant to join our team on a permanent basis based in Sydney. In this role you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a diverse range of positions across the Firm, spanning Legal and Business Advisory Services. Plus, you'll have the unique opportunity to contribute to strategic projects within the People & Development team.

Key responsibilities

  • As a key recruitment business partner, you will build strong working relationships with Partners/Managers, ensuring alignment between recruitment efforts and business needs.
  • Be the technical lead and driving force behind recruitment, leveraging your expertise to attract top talent in the market.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Clayton Utz, providing all candidates with a positive experience regardless of the outcome of their application.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to engage both passive and active candidates.
  • Collaborate with the business to identify the most engaging selection process for the candidate and the hiring manager.
  • Take ownership of driving change and continuous improvement in the Recruitment Team, constantly seeking ways to enhance processes, partnerships and our ATS (Workday).
  • Contribute to P&D projects supporting the National Recruitment Manager, and other P&D Heads and Managers as needed.

What we're looking for?

  • Recruitment experience - ideally within the legal industry or a professional services environment with a track record of success in agency or in-house roles.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced recruitment environment, delivering results while maintaining focus on an engaging and commercial process.
  • Enjoy working autonomously and a focus on an engaging and commercial recruitment process.
  • Demonstrate a passion for all things recruitment. Experience recruiting for legal roles and/or Forensic Technology would be highly regarded.
  • Someone who is relationship focused with an ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of recruitment.

The National People & Development team:

With a presence in all our major offices, the National People and Development (P&D) team advises the business on all people initiatives, including talent management, employee relations, resourcing, recruitment (both graduate and lateral), remuneration, benefits, reporting and learning and organisational development.

This role reports to the National Recruitment Manager and sits within our Talent team, which is responsible for designing and delivering market-leading talent acquisition and retention initiatives and programs consistent with the Firm's people vision, culture and strategy.

At Clayton Utz, we foster a flexible working culture, offering hybrid work arrangements that prioritise both productivity and work-life balance.

Starting from the week commencing April 29th, 2024, we will promptly review all applications and proactively reach out to qualified candidates. We value transparency and efficiency, ensuring a smooth and timely hiring experience for all applicants.
