  • Full time opportunity for up to 10 months available
  • Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour 
  • Salary ranging from $106,025 to $117,363 p.a. plus superannuation.

About the role:

The NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) are looking for a National Varroa Mite Training Coordinator to coordinate the development and delivery of the Varroa Mite training program to recreational and commercial beekeepers across Australia as part of the National Response Plan V4.

This includes contributing to the development of resources, training programs, coordinating review and feedback, working with each state to organise and deliver training, and managing a pool of contract trainers who are delivering training in the relevant states while working closely with industry bodies to achieve delivery outcomes within the 12-month timeframe.

About you:

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Contribute to the development of the national Varroa Mite training program including managing the development of the national training program and industry consultation and working with subject matter experts to develop resources.
  • Coordinate delivery of the National Varroa Mite training program across Australia in consultation with Government agencies and industry bodies and associations in each state including the delivery of three “train the trainer” workshops prior to the commencement of delivery.
  • Coordinate and liaise with trainers in all jurisdictions including oversight of trainer contracts, management of feedback from trainers and assisting with trouble shooting.
  • Collaborate with both commercial and recreational beekeepers, coordinating training needs and locations and works with a network of trainers, contractors and relevant agency staff across all jurisdictions to deliver Varroa Mite training.

Essential Requirements

You'll need to have a current NSW Class C Driver’s License, as well as the ability and willingness to travel as required.
