Levantine Hill is an award-wining family-owned winery and vineyard in the Yarra Valley. We are a fast-growing company, operating a large single-site premium wine, tourism and hospitality business in Australia.
The business is set across our 3 major vineyards along the Maroondah Highway in the Yarra Valley. Levantine Hill Estate specialises in wine production and wholesale, functions, events, onsite restaurant and cellar door, and soon to open 33 room hotel (currently under construction).
The name Levantine Hill draws inspiration from the French-named Levant, meaning “where the sun rises”. “The Levantine” region is represented in the ancient biblical lands of the eastern Mediterranean. And that is where the story of Levantine Hill Estate began, many generations ago. Like our wines which have been crafted in the old-world ways, our food philosophy honours our Levantine heritage.
To support the company’s ambitious expansion plans, Levantine Hill is looking for a National Distributor Manager
Who We Are Looking For:
This role at Levantine Hill Estate (LHE) requires an energetic and self-motivated experienced salesperson, who has sales ability and marketing flair, a goal-oriented attitude and a passion for fine wine. An in-depth understanding of the Australian on-premises and off-premises wine industry is critical to the success of this role, as is significant experience and contacts in this area of the industry.
Your key objective is to sustainably achieve business performance and grow profit across our national distributor network.
Some of the Core Responsibilities:
To manage Levantine Hill’s distributor sales effectively, efficiently, and profitably, including but not limited to the following:
- Achieve distributor network monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit targets set by the Company.
- Identify and attain new business to sustainable grow revenue and profit for LHE sales, delivered through our distributor network.
- Identify and achieve mutually agreed points of distribution for LHE wines, with a focus on visibility and placement.
- Maintain, develop and grow distribution points in all outlets in order to expand LHE distributor business opportunities.
- Manage existing distributor relationships to ensure they deliver on both budget and strategy set in place.
- Consistently and passionately communicate Levantine Hill’s unique brand attributes, positioning, and philosophy to all customers, peers, influencers, trade, and media in line with organization culture.
- Development and maintenance of a structured monthly call cycle, achieving a mutually agreed number of Daily sales calls.
- Develop and implement brand specific activities within accounts, ensuring that all promotional activity is carried out efficiently and effectively within budgeted parameters and within the respective brands’ standard guidelines.
- Identify and recommend creative venues for promotions and ensure that incremental sales are gained upon the venues being selected.
- Attain and maintain the highest standards of service provided to trade customers and develop relationships at all levels within the customers’ business in line with Levantine Hill culture.
- Manage and host premium trade and consumer wine tastings and events. Provide post event reports.
- Liaise effectively with the company’s Brand/Marketing, Winemaking, Cellar Door managers to streamline and synergise sales and sales opportunities.
- Ensure that excellent brand merchandising standards are achieved at all times, utilising developed POS and promotional tools.
- Monitor competitor activity including research, pricing, and promotions and provide feedback to the Sales Director.
- Manage and attend events, tastings, and activations for Levantine Hill wines, to ensure brand consistency and excellence of delivery.
- Planning and arrangement of Yarra Venue (Cellar Door) site visits through liaison with Winemakers, cellar door and venue management.
