Natural Areas Team Member - Local Government

- $39.00 hourly rate + 11% Super
- Monday to Friday (6.30am to 3.30pm)

A Day in The Life
Your day to day will involve the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance of walking tracks, trails, fire access lines, plant and equipment operation, weed control, erosion control, prescribed burn site preparation, natural area restoration, and site inspections.
- Supervise work team activities, including minor contracted works, volunteers, trainees, students, and labor market participants, in diverse environments, including remote locations.
- Address bushland maintenance Customer Service Requests within the designated area, providing advisory and response services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements, ensuring compliance with statutes, regulations, and prescribed procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum requirement - White Card, Relevant Trade Skill and PPE Gear.
- MR Licence or Ability to Obtain
- Completed Environmental Science/Land Management and Conservation Qualification or have relevant experience.
- ACDC and Chainsaw ticket
- Plan burn experience highly advantageous.
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations for the role (Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus and Q fever).
