Join our growing Home and Community Support Service. This permanent role (4-5 days per week) provides administration and coordination services to our participants in Ulladulla. The successful candidate must be able to travel to our Ulladulla office on a regular basis.

Yumaro is a multi-award winning not for profit located on the south coast of NSW. Yumaro operates several social enterprises providing employment opportunities in a supported way. We provide NDIS services including Home and Community supports, capacity building supports, accommodation, social programs, support coordination and plan management services to over 220 people living with a disability.
About the role
This role involves the coordination and administration of Yumaro’s Home and Community Support Service, which includes supporting people in the home, in the community and in innovative social programs.
Your ability to identify needs and build service solutions to meet those needs; communicate with all stakeholders; efficiently operation organisational systems and engage support staff to do the same - will enable you to drive Yumaro Home and Community Support services in Ulladulla – creating a thriving professional service to the community.
Your coordination and customer service skills will enable you to efficiently roster Home and Community Services staff as well as engage participants and families to identify their support needs, create program referrals and NDIS Service Agreements.
As a team player you will work closely with all of Yumaro departments - playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the administration of Yumaro’s services for the benefit of our service participants and fellow staff.
Responsibilities include:
- NDIS Pre-planning, NDIS plan application with families
- Implementing NDIS service agreements with participants
- Update Client management system to include all critical support information client history, goals, medical needs, risk assessments, etc
- Rostering staff for home and Community Services
- Assist with recruiting new disability support work staff
- Developing innovative social and group programs
- Working collaboratively with other disability service providers under NDIS plans.
- Business Development and representing Yumaro at community meetings and forums.
Skills and experience
- Prior experience as a NDIS coordinator or in a similar role is preferred (but not essential)
- Relationship building - working with a diverse range of people, their families or carers, and a network of support providers and Community Services
- Able to coordinate service expectations and professional boundaries
- Strong communication skills including listening
- Able to research, interpret and apply NDIS and service concepts to design and implement effective solutions for participants within plan funding
- Able to coordinate, organise and track activities/bookings/tasks
- Able to prioritize to achieve multiple and often competing deadlines
- Strong administration skills including basic budgeting
- Experience in NDIS, COS or similar role is desirable
- Experience in using Microsoft Office suite of products
- Experience in mental health would be well regarded
