Position Overview:
We are seeking two compassionate and experienced Counsellors to join a well-respected NFP in South West Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing counselling services within the community. The role involves delivering individual and group counselling sessions, providing emotional support, and connecting carers with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide culturally sensitive counselling to carers from all backgrounds
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
- Offer emotional support and crisis intervention
- Develop tailored support programs
- Stay updated on counselling practices and cultural competency
Qualifications:
- Registration with ACA, PACFA or AHPRA
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in counselling, preferably with a community-based role
- Strong understanding of the cultural, social, and psychological factors affecting CALD communities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in a second language (preferred but not essential)
