A specific focus is to enhance the independence, social and economic participation of people with disability and their carers. The NDIS uses a person-centred approach that aims to increase choice and control.About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for delivering centre-based/group activities and individual supports, to meet the goals of the people we support. As a team member, the NDIS Worker works collaboratively with other team members under the support and guidance of the NDIS Manager to facilitate the effective operation the service.About youYou are a team player and work collaboratively with others. Intention to work toward Cert III minimum.
- Knowledge of the NDIS and the NSW mental health system and local services, or willingness and ability to learn.
- Ability to use the recovery- based approach to assist people with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Demonstrated values consistent with person-centred ways of working and supporting the person’s choice and control.
- Willingness to commit to ongoing learning and education.
