The Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) is a targeted primary health care facility located in Kings Cross involved in the prevention, treatment and care of HIV/AIDS and other transmissible infections among 'at risk' young people, sex workers and people who inject drugs.
This role delivers Needle Syringe Program (NSP) and outreach services, health and social welfare referrals for KRC's target populations, and participates in KRC health promotion and community development activities.
KRC is one of the SESLHD Sexual Health and BBV services and this position may work across those services as required.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to harm minimisation.
- An understanding and willingness to work within a professional model of health service delivery.
- Good verbal communication skills and competence in the use of email, Microsoft Word and data entry.
- Willingness and ability to work in the unpredictable and sometimes volatile environment of KRC and KRC South for day and evening shifts across a 7 day rotating roster.
