About the role:
The primary function of the Network and Systems Administrator is to provide first level support of the business's LAN/WAN, and secondarily to provide administration of internal servers, firewalls, proxy, and PC technical / Help Desk support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Administrator Duties
- Monitor business LAN/WAN network status and network devices
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve L1 network issues and escalate where necessary
- Firewall, Proxy and PABX administration
- Monitor and restore weekly backup
- Monitor and report File Server quota
- Server administration duties as required
- Installing and troubleshooting IPT handsets, printers and fax machines
- Basic phone setup – Extension number and phone installation
- General Duties
- Diploma in Networking or higher, Cisco CCNA Certification is mandatory
- 1 + years Expereince in similar role
- Server and Firewall administration experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Proxy server administration experience
- Ability to work autonomously and to strict timeframes
- Ability to work in a high pressure fast paced environment
