About the Role
Grampians Health has an exciting opportunity in the Information Technology department for a Network Administrator (UC) to join our busy team due to extended projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Network Administrator (UC) is responsible for administering, monitoring, and maintaining network, security, and voice infrastructure. Network Administrator is also responsible for ordering and maintaining stock, and handling first level escalations from the service desk, management, and other health agencies. The role will also own the monitoring tools to allow the technical teams to get rapid information about events, alerts and faults.
The Network Administrator (UC) will work closely with the Network Engineering Team and Network Manager as required to identify efficiency in network and security that enables GRHA/GH to further invest in and enhance the network. Additionally, the successful applicant will contribute to the improvement of processes and documentation to ensure the technical operations team delivers operational excellence. The role requires problem-solving skills and judgement using sound knowledge in networking and security to achieve organisational goals and service level targets.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will work well in a team with other network staff members, provide exceptional customer service and will be keen and learn and grow in the team.
The successful candidate will ideally some experience as a network support technician. Experience in the following technologies are highly regarded:
- Cisco or Fortinet Switching
- Cisco or Fortinet Firewalls
- Routing using OSPF and/or BGP
- Enterprise Wireless networks - Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet
- Cisco Unified Call Manager
- Cisco Webex

Selection Criteria
- Essential : Do you hold a Bachelor of IT major in Networking or Bachelor of Computer Networking (or similar) or 3 years of IT experience with networking certifications (e.g NSE4, CCNA, Network+). Please include certificate in you application.
- Essential : Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, managing conflict and fostering teamwork.
- Essential : Exceptional customer service and phone skills along with the ability to manage own support activities and work with others in a team environment.
- Essential : Please detail your ability to configure and maintain comprehensive monitoring of network and other equipment.
- Essential : Please detail your ability to isolate faults and provide rectification for WAN and VOIP networks.
- Essential : Current Victorian Driver's License
