About the Opportunity

As Network Engineer you will manage the operations for ARTC's corporate and operational technology data networks, ensuring the resilience, performance, and security of the environment, through technical expertise and mature operational practices.

  • Maintain the reliability, performance, resilience, and efficient operation of ARTC's corporate and operational technology networks.
  • Support and maintain the security (confidentiality, integrity, availability) of ARTC's data networks.
  • Support data network operations in accordance to documented operating procedures.
  • Deliver technology projects to agreed standards, aligned to architectural guidelines and frameworks, in alignment with defined technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure compliance with ARTC's Safety Management System (SMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements, responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with ARTC's System and Technology policies and procedures including cyber security and change control policies.

About You

To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information and Communications Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Extensive experience in a Network Engineering role.
  • Experience in the administration of complex data networks, comprising Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Juniper, Citrix and VMware technologies.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) accreditations, or equivalent experience and the ability to obtain accreditation.
  • Operational experience with Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) management (e.g. Palo Alto Networks).
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking (e.g. VMware NSX, Routing Overlays).
  • Strong system analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in standard networking concepts, including but not limited to:
    • Internet Protocols (e.g. DNS, HTTP/S, SMTP, TLS, VOIP etc.).
    • Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, IP, MPLS, QoS etc.).
    • Enterprise grade wireless and wired solutions.
    • Network security concepts such as firewalls, NAT, IDS/IPS, VPN, load balancing.
  • The ability to work with all levels of staff as part of the team.
  • Experience in the provision of superior customer service.
