These are long term contract positions based in their Melbourne office. As the roles involve working with high security networks, the eligible candidates must be Australian Citizens and eligible to get a Defence Security Clearance.
About The Role
- Provide technical direction for enterprise-wide support on management of critical networks.
- Provide network operations and service management support.
- Provide escalation for Tier II organisation.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, PMO, Business IT, Infrastructure Leads, and third-party service providers to resolve complex network issues.
- Keep up to date with current and new network architectures and maintain expertise in data network technologies.
- Work as part of a network monitoring team to ensure network operations are efficient, secure, and provide status on major issues that may arise.
- Tertiary qualifications in Network Engineering or Computer Science degree with network specialisation.
- Cisco and F5 Certifications (CCNP or CCIE preferred).
- Must have extensive experince with F5 firewall.
- Experience with Tier 3 Support for a Critical Enterprise Network.
- Proven experience in network design, implementation, and network operations including cloud networking.
- Extensive experience with Cisco routers and switches, Juniper routers and switches, radio systems, VMware, and Firewalls (F5, Palo Alto).
- Understanding of IPv4 protocols and emerging IPv6 deployments.
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP,ISIS, OSPF).
- Advanced networking knowledge in WAN architectures (MPLS with Segment Routing and SD-WAN, VXLAN & VPN methods).
