Position:NetZero ICT Support Officer

Duration: 12 months with a 12-month extension

About the Role:
DFP Recruitment is hiring for it's client requirement for a NetZero ICT Support Officer. The successful candidate will have a background in Net Zero approaches to ICT procurement to coordinate, develop, and deliver IMD’s Net Zero strategy and reporting requirements.
Key Duties:
- Participate in Net Zero workshops, communities, and networks both internally and externally.
- Undertake research and provide advice on ICT-related emission reduction options.
- Review and update ICT procurement documentation as it relates to Net Zero.
- Develop and manage the implementation of IMD’s Net Zero strategy.
- Communicate and collaborate across IMD to draft Net Zero reporting for diverse audiences.
- Coordinate, research, and report on current and proposed new Net Zero initiatives.
- Promote Net Zero targets, emission reduction strategies, actions, and progress within IMD.
- Support the Commercial Engagement Section (CEN) to undertake ICT procurement processes during surge periods that align with the Net Zero strategy.
- Educate business areas on CEN’s ICT procurement processes, including sustainable procurement.
- Support CEN in developing a sustainable ICT procurement framework.

- Knowledge and experience with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and sustainable procurement
- Knowledge of environmental management/environmental sustainability and its application in government
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of working and communicating effectively with others to achieve a shared mission
- Demonstrated understanding of the breadth of ICT procurements undertaken by large Government organisations
- Strong understanding of sustainable ICT procurement, including for hardware, software, and services
- Experience undertaking research, consulting across Government, and developing and providing advice on ICT-related emission reduction options
- Knowledge of legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks, guidelines, and policies and their practical application
- Experience using EDRMS, Visio, and Microsoft 365 suite
