Logistics Support Officer

The Logistics Support Officer will provide support to defence and handle activities such as travel and movements of staff between multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be accountable to perform operational, administrative and business support tasks within an integrated workforce. You will be accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.

Responsibilities of your new role:

• Support the coordination of accommodation, airfares, catering, bus and hire cars
• for large groups of people in national and international locations.
• Assess and adjust planning and process methodologies to comply with
• legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Progress work to meet business objectives and recommend solutions for issues
• impacting on the achievements of desired outcomes.
• Support the coordination of submissions of Overseas Visit Authorities (OVAs),
• Foreign Visit Requests (FVRs) and security requirements for access to foreign
• military sites (RVAs).
• Support drafting formal correspondence for higher level review, approval and
• presentation using appropriate Defence styles and formats, IAW task specified
• timelines.
• Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member and provide
• constructive feedback.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with team members and a range of
• stakeholders.

What you will need to be successful in the position:

• Attention to detail;
• Highly developed communication skills;
• Stakeholder liaison with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Computer literacy and good record management skills
• A current NV1 security clearance (Mandatory).
• A current driver's licence (C Class Mandatory).

This is a permanent position with job security. The working location is HMAS Harman, ACT.
