Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the full time, permanent Management Accountant role, works closely with the business units to support them on all finance matters, assisting with the delivery of budget and forecasts as well as monthly variance analysis for the Group. The portfolio covers a range of businesses including coal, port and pastoral operations with a strong focus on building relationships and value add. As part of this you’ll have the opportunity to travel occasionally to our Queensland and New South Wales sites, with plenty of notice given.
About the role
- Budgeting, forecasting and management accounting for a portfolio of business units
- Completion of month end and bi-annual management accounts and reconciliations
- Divisional P&L analysis and variance commentary
- Coordinate and partner with stakeholders to complete monthly cost reviews
About you
- 2-5 years’ relevant experience in mining preferred but not required
- CPA or CA qualified or working towards
- Experience in budgeting, producing management reports and variance analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and show initiative
- Professional Manner and a ‘Can Do’ Attitude
