The Role
This is a people leadership role. However, you will have come from a technical background, ideally networking / Linux, and ideally with experience from an Internet Service Provider or Telecommunications provider, or MSP.
Managing a team of up to 4, consisting of level 1 and 2 Engineers, you will not only be an escalation point, but will be responsible for performance reviews, delegating work and contract management.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a Team Leader role within a Telco / ISP environment or MSP
- Technical experience – Strong networking, load balancing, firewalls, switching & routing and configuration management
- Strong Linux skills, including scripting and virtualised environments
- Possess a strong command of configuration management tools
- Proficiency in utilising network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, and HAProxy
- Bring valuable experience with virtualization technologies
- Proven ability to lead & manager others, ensuring a balanced workload and timely delivery of projects
- Tertiary Degree in IT or other relevant discipline is advantageous.
- Industry Certifications relevant to the above technologies will be beneficial
