Due to continued growth and market demand, we are seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join our dynamic forward-thinking sales team.

About the Role

The NQ Sales Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of strategies to drive sales and profitability growth within the Water, Sewer & infrastructure market in North Queensland through building and the maintenance of strong business relationships with our clients and promoting Clover’s brand awareness. 

This role requires the individual to achieve agreed sales revenue and gross margin targets in-line with company budgets. 

Robust B2B sales skills and a sound understanding of contemporary marketing practices are critical for success within this role. The individual must be professional at all times and demonstrate a strong focus on strategic planning and communication along with a proven ability to negotiate and influence sales outcomes to fulfil business objectives. 

The Sales Manager is required to research and analyse market trends and foster strong industry stakeholder relationships.

Sales Manager’s work closely with our internal state management team, client service team, administrative team, account executives, logistics team and product managers.

Regular interaction is required with a range of external stakeholders including our clients, major utilities, consultants, designers, specialist third party vendors, project specific stakeholders and others. 

Responsibilities; 

The North Queensland Sales Manager is responsible for all for all site operations, performance, OH&S, quality, staffing as detailed below; 

  • Ensure own behaviour and staff behaviour complies with the Clover Pipelines policies and Legislative regulations
  • Ensure personal and direct reports comply with established OHS and environmental policies and procedures within their departments
  • Provide a positive model to Team members by ensuring own behaviour at the work place is safe, responsible and proactive.
  • Achieving agreed sales revenue and gross margin targets within the territory in-line with monthly and annual budgets as set by the company and management;
  • Building and nurturing strong long-term business relationships with new and existing clients, designers, asset owners and stakeholders;
  • Account management duties for nominated clients within the territory including;
    • Supplying accurate quotations and negotiating profitable sales outcomes/terms in accordance with company requirements;
    • Providing timely product/availability/order status information to clients;
    • Product presentations as required;
    • Managing client project deliveries;
    • Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction; 
  • Providing technical support to stakeholders and influencing project design outcomes, ultimately resulting in the specification and use of exclusive Clover products;
  • Planning, preparing and delivering effective sales presentations to clients and other stakeholders; 
  • Following industry trends and providing management with regular market intelligence and feedback regarding business performance within the territory;
  • Creating awareness of the Clover brand, our products and unique value proposition within the territory;
  • Responsible for the management of all warehousing processes and inventory requirements in Townsville. This includes management of all permanent & casual staff.
  • Develop efficient KPI targets for direct reports to ensure high levels of customer service are met.   
  • Responsible for the resolution of significant customer service issue’s that is beyond the control of client services.
  • Other agreed ad-hoc tasks as required by the company.

Operational Improvement;

  • Proactively identify, discuss and implement supply chain improvements that will help improve overall business profitability.
  • Review and recommend most cost-effective supply chain partners in NQ. 
  • Build transport network to enable flexible delivery service.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications;

The role requires experience and skills in the following areas;

  • Demonstrated ability in consistently exceeding B2B sales revenue and profitability targets within the Australian water industry;
  • Extensive knowledge of the Australian water infrastructure market;
  • Relationships with key industry stakeholders;
  • Experience with planning, design and implementation of business development strategies;
  • Advanced planning, organisational and time management skills;
  • Proven ability to influence client buying decisions; 
  • Effective negotiation skills and an ability to close deals;
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Highly structured and organised approach to planning work and managing time;
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Strong Microsoft suite skills required.
