About the role:
We are seeking a Territory Manager to service our South - East Queensland dealer network.
Reporting into the Rural Sales Manager you will be responsible for our rural customer base.
You will need to live in the territory which has Bundaberg in the north and Lismore in the south. Ideally you will currently be operating as an Account Manager in the area or have a very good understanding of the spraying and machinery markets. You will need to be a self-starter and have the ability to plan and manage your weeks.
Key Objectives:
- Manage sales throughout your territory.
- Build and manage strong relationships with key customers and dealer network ensuring range support.
- Develop and implement plans to maximise sales opportunities and business growth.
- Support your dealer network in obtaining sales.
- Provide feedback on key issues in your territory to the Rural Sales Manager and the General Manager Rural as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Account Managers and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Outcomes:
- Expanding Silvan’s presence within the territory. Increase market Achievement of sales targets.
- Achieve sales growth through existing account growth and new customer acquisition.
- Provide regular reports to Rural Sales Manager on sales activities, and competitor activities.
- Well stocked and supported dealers.
- Ensure Silvan resellers and end users see Silvan as a trusted business partner who adds value to their business.
- Well trained and knowledgeable dealer network.
Experience:
- You will have industry knowledge, hands on sales experience in the Agricultural sector.
- Demonstratable experience in managing a territory.
- An understanding of agricultural machinery.
- Providing product support and expert advice to dealers, customers, and product users
- Experience with merchandising of Agricultural products.
- Comfortable with travel to Field days and in field demonstrations of product.
About you:
- Previous experience working in a similar role will be highly regarded
- Highly organised with an eye for detail
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to be a confident relationship builder with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Solid analytical skills and administrative organisation skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to learn features and benefits of Silvan products
- There are domestic travel expectations required for the role around the territory.
