Nsw - Area Manager - South

We manufacture, import and distribute many leading products to Hardware, Paint, Electrical, Commercial, Industrial and Safety groups within Australia and New Zealand and have built strong and lasting relationships with leading retailers and buying groups.

The Hartman Group is a leader in innovation and product development that requires a self-motivated Area Manager to join our growing sales team.

The successful applicant will be required to:

• Grow an established sales territory encompassing a defined region within NSW.
• Manage a contracted agency supporting the Bunnings network.
• Report via CRM to Management.
• Develop a growth plan with customers within the territory in accord with National direction.
• Achieve monthly targets and sales budgets.
• Regular contact with retail partners both in person and electronically.
• B2B sales in support of our retail partners.
• Become product expert for the full range of Hartman division products.
• Develop excellent customer relationships.
• Attend Trade events and Trade shows.

Your expected skill set includes:

• At least with 2 years' experience in an external BDM role preferably in the building & hardware industry.
• Demonstrate success in achieving sales targets with a strong 'new business hunter' approach.
• Have exceptional administration and organisational skills.
• Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience  in managing major account customers, particularly achieving genuine sales development.
• Intermediate computer skills using MS suit (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) Internet & Email.
• Ability to work autonomously, with good time management skills.
• Strong Relationship building skills.
• Active and energetic with a strong sense of urgency.
• Team player.

You will be responsible for South & West Sydney suburbs as well as parts of the Regional NSW. You may be required to spend nights away in support of activity travelling.
