The role: Getting our team home safe every day to what is important in their lives is one of the key components to our success as a business. As the H&S advisor, you will report directly to the General Manager for Health and Safety and be accountable for overseeing the level of risk across the Victorian Young Guns work environments and driving risk reduction to ensure that our team get home safe. Main responsibilities will include: Monitoring, managing, and influencing the effective use of the YG safety management system Risk assessing work activity and environment Hazard, near miss and incident review and investigation Safety auditing and management in line with Young Guns Safety Management System, state and federal H&S legislation and customer policies. Supporting operations leaders to lead a safe workplace through training, advice and peer support Customer and regulator consulting on risk Safety promotion through development and distribution of key learnings (safety alerts) and information to influence safety mindsets Driving Health and well-being initiatives across the network Worker's compensation and injury management D&A testing facilitiation Driving and developing safety promotion material About you: First and foremost, you care deeply about safety andwant to work for a company with a purpose and vision centred around doing social good. You are a career-focused H&S professional with experience in driving impact and influence across a wider network of team and customer base. Experience guidelines for the role include Previous experience in the H&S space overlooking an operation of over 100 team. Exposure to Victorian H&S legislation and worker's compensation process Experience in injury management, workplace risk assessing, incident investigation and Safety compliance auditing.
