Responsibilities
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of staff including truck drivers and warehouse staff to ensure the efficient and safe collection and delivery of food to agency partners.
Core responsibilities include:
- Working with the Safety Manager to ensure adherence to Food Safety, Chain of Responsibility and other OH&S compliance requirements
- Regularly communicate with food donors and potential donors to manage food donations and support of SecondBite
- Participate in advocating for SecondBite, including making public presentations when required
- Provide coaching and training to staff under your supervision
- Manage state operations within budget
About You
- Previous leadership experience within a logistics or warehousing business.
- Experience ensuring team adherence to safety and compliance requirements.
- Ability to think on your feet and handle challenging situations in an efficient and constructive manner.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking capability.
- Confident computer skills including experience using MS Office products and CRM/logistics software systems.
