We have a exciting new opportunity for a Occupational Health Nurse or Assessor to join our Port Hedland Team. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a growing company in the occupational health arena, upskilling and training options are also available.
An overview of the Function:
- Conducting Pre-Employment, Periodic and Health Surveillance Medical assessments
- Conducting Urine and Saliva Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Collecting Blood Serology and Pathology samples
- Audiometry
- Spirometry
- Vital signs and clinical examinations
- ECG
- Range of movement / Functional Capacity assessment
- Administering Immunisations (if you are a registered immuniser)
Other duties may include:
- Administrative and operational support tasks
- Client bookings
- Clinical follow ups
- Maintenance of system records
About You:
The person we seek will ideally be a Registered or Enrolled Nurse or working towards becoming a nurse with knowledge, skills, and experience in the Pre-Employment Medical / Occupational Health speciality or come from a pre-employment medical background.
You will posses:
- Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills,
- The ability to work autonomously when needed with a skillset to perform elements pertaining to the area of occupational health assessment
- A good working knowledge of Best Practice, including electronic record maintenance,
- A good understanding of Work Health & Safety relative to the function,
- The ability to operate medical equipment required to provide the above services.
- A current WA Driver’s License
- Current recognised immunisation certified with current update
- Current AHPRA practicing certificate with no restrictions
- Police Clearance upon request
