ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for AHPRA registered Nurse Practitioners to provide advanced nursing assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to patients and their carers. Reporting to the Collaborating Medical Practitioner, the NP will liaise with a number of internal and external stakeholders including a Clinical Governance Committee, Territory and Sales Managers, Senior Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacy/ Facility/ Hospital staff, GP’s and other allied health professionals. This is a permanent Monday to Friday role (no shift work!) If you are an expert at time management, problem solving and stakeholder relations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert care to patients and their families in accordance with Nurse Practitioner legislation including:
- Patient assessment and diagnosis
- Prescribing medications as appropriate
- Ordering and analysing pathology and radiological testing
- Referring patients to various Health Professionals
- Undertaking patient care on referral from Health Professionals
- Prescribe and administer approved formulary medications
- Participate in peer and case review procedures as deemed appropriate by the Professional Services Operations Manager/ Senior Nurse Practitioner/ Collaborating Medical Practitioner
- Contribute to clinic workforce development programs
- Compliance with relevant Federal/State legislation, DoH and Clinic policies, and local procedures as they pertain to the delivery of health services and prescribing of scheduled medicines
- Current Immunisation Certification as per your relevant State / Territory
