AND YOU ARE…?
… about to be, or already certified as a Nurse Practitioner, with high-level nursing skills and a good grounding in adult and aged health. You also have:
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Time management and planning abilities
- Team orientation
Reporting to the Senior Nurse Practitioner, the role requires:
- An advanced level of clinical input and independent practice that can advocate for and direct residents’ care in a timely manner
- The ability to nurture and upskill registered nurses and care team to instil confidence in improving resident outcomes.
- Partnering with primary healthcare providers tooptimise available resources and outcomes
- The capacity to assess complex situations, enabling staff to confidently deliver appropriate care
- Providing first class care that facilitates hospital avoidance
- Ensuring good deaths and end of life care
