Nurse Practitioner - Pain Management
Looking for exciting opportunity to join and lead the Nurse Pain Management Team at Western Health
The NP – Pain Management works within the Pain Management team which presides within the Division of Surgery, Endoscopy & Anaesthesia.

The NP led model of care, particularly at Williamstown involves taking a brief pain and medical history including pathology results (to determine any renal or liver impairment), pain management advice and the prescribing of analgesia in the post-operative setting and medical and rehabilitation setting. The role consists of
- Use your nursing knowledge, theories and skills to perform comprehensive health assessments and utilise the extensions to NP practice to provide evidence based and person centred care.
- Running Nurse lead outpatient clinics
- Lead the Nurse Clinical Consultant Team in implementing care.
About you:
- You are an experienced Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, holding a Masters of Nurse Practitioner (or a Masters granted equivalence by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work well with health professionals at both a clinical and executive level.
- You have experience in research, with knowledge of research methodologies and processes.
- You bring great clinical leadership to our already amazing team.
