The Opportunity Joining the team as a Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the Day Surgery Unit, with the specialties being Endoscopy and Ophthalmology.
This role will see you: Be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources Be a positive mentor and provide clinical leadership and support to your team Working with and supporting other managers of the perioperative group as well as the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes Assist in shaping organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.

Current registration with AHPRA Competent in supervising, leading, directing and motivating staff to achieve excellent outcomes Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in acute care environment Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and experience within a perioperative environment Effective management of rostering processes and allocation of duties of both clinical and non-clinical staff Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded What’s in it for you?
