What you'll be doingThe Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the operational management and leadership of the Sustaining NSW Families (SNF) nurse led home visiting program to vulnerable families from pregnancy to age 2. The coordinator is a nurse who retains a clinical role within the team through clinical assessments and clinical staff supervision by holding a small caseload and relieving during periods of leave.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years post-registration experience; post-graduate qualification in Child and Family Health Nursing; and at least 3 years clinical practice in Child and Family Health Nursing.
- Extensive and demonstrated child and family health nursing experience, and knowledge, with demonstrated ability to direct and coordinate the SNF service.
- Experience working with vulnerable families and a demonstrated understanding of early intervention, including the theoretical basis that underpins sustained home visiting, prevention, and community development.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team operationally, service planning, and quality improvement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide others to analyse problems, apply a range of solutions, and adapt to ongoing change to reach their full potential.
- Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in the identification of education needs, education program development, delivery, and evaluation.
- Ability to develop and nurture internal and external relationships through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesThis is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive . All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
