About the role
SSS Prosthetics and Orthotics is looking for a Full Time Receptionist/Admin Officer. We are seeking someone who is highly motivated, can work in a fast paced environment and has great attention to detail to join our team.
In this role, you will be a part of a growing and successful team engaging in a number of administration activities and being the first point of contact within SSS in Cairns.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- You will be the face of our business and expected to be friendly and professional with patients and staff members
- General Administrative Duties
- Must adhere to SSS quality management, health and safety systems and policies
- Managing incoming calls and enquiries
- Meet and greet patients in clinic
- Allocating appointments for new and existing referrals
- Managing patient records
- Scheduling bookings
- Billing
- Processing payment
- General office admin
Skills and experience
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

- Have a friendly demeanour with a positive and mature attitude
- Be polite and patient-focused
- Enthusiastic, courteous and conscientious
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and phone manner
- Deliver a high standard of client service
- Be well presented
- Use their initiative but be willing to seek help when they need it
- Xero and Cliniko experience are an advantage, but not essential.
