About us:
Gemfields Primary Care clinic is based in the Sapphire Gemfields area, 64 km from Emerald. The Primary Care Clinic operates 5 days per week servicing a diverse population with high level of chronic disease across the townships of Sapphire, Rubyvale, Anakie and Willows. The resident population is approximately 900, which increases significantly throughout the winter months.
About the role:
The Nurse Unit Manager identifies the health needs of the community and plans strategies to ensure the communities' needs are met in collaboration with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Director of Medical Services (DMS) based in Emerald. The position provides and coordinates direct clinical care using advanced practice skills, manages nursing responsibilities and pharmacy services, coordinates and oversees the facility and compliance associated with its functions.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Mandatory qualification/s: The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and skills in Primary Health Care, Chronic Disease and Wound Management.
- Demonstrated ability to practice within a diverse patient population with socio-economic disadvantage.
- Ability to provide effective human resource, fiscal and material resource management within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Ability to develop, plan, implement and evaluate strategies designed to improve healthcare services.
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $13,429 p.m. is comprised of:
- A salary between $4,933.10 - $5,355.90 p.f.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
