Base salary ranges between $128,701 and $139,732 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7).

The role
Permanent full-time.
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) @ the Mount Isa Hospital is a Level 4 CSCF, 5 bedded mixed ICU/Coronary Care unit/High dependency Unit; ICU also admits critically ill paediatric and maternity patients.
The ICU provides immediate resuscitative management for the critically ill, short term cardio-respiratory support and simple invasive cardiovascular monitoring.
Patients admitted to ICU have a reversible condition/s that is/are likely to benefit from nursing and/or medical interventions in excess of that achievable in the general ward environment, but not of the severity that would be more appropriately managed in a higher level tertiary Intensive Care Unit.
As the NUM you will provide advanced nursing leadership in proactively managing and coordinating clinical practice and the provision of human, financial and material resources in accordance with organisational goals, ensuring a cost-effective nursing service focused on providing exceptional, evidenced-based patient care.
Requirements
A post-graduate certificate in Intensive Care Nursing.
Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences, evidence of these will be required prior to appointment.
Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate; this may include criminal history checks and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role compliance.
A 6-month period of probation may apply.
