ABOUT THE ROLE
As an experienced Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee a 36-bed Medical and Oncology unit. You will coordinate the admissions and discharge processes of the department, and the daily management of nursing staff and other human resources.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience in an acute hospital setting;
- Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager;
- Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering, and performance management;
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human, and capital resources.

REMUNERATION
On offer is a base hourly rate of $64.48 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute Medical/Surgical facility. It is proud to offer its staff and patients world-class care in a contemporary environment that currently provides 215 beds, 11 state-of-the-art operating theatres, and an Intensive Care Unit. It is undergoing a $180m significant development which will see the hospital almost double in size, including additional beds, operating theatres, a new expanded ICU, and an Emergency Department in addition to new Support Services.
