Bass Coast Health (BCH) is the sub-regional health service for the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo.In order to support our rapidly growing population, we're growing our services and the complexity of our organisation. This includes adding a new $115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to ensure we meet the increasing health care needs of our region.Position SummaryThe Peri-Operative Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Peri-Operative Suite including Main Theatres, Day Services and CSSD.This is a pivotal role in ensuring delivery of a contemporary, safe, comprehensive and cost-effective patient care consistent with national standards.The focus is on achieving excellence within nursing, engaging and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders while promoting the Mission and Values of Bass Coast Health.Requirements of the position are:

• Registration with Nursing Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA)
• Proven nursing leadership experience
• Understanding and experience in PERIOPERATIVE SERVICEs
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent patient care
• Autonomous and self-directed
• Ability to motivate a team and display the values of BCH
• Well-developed and recent clinical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Post-graduate qualifications well regarded
• Valid Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer COVID-19 Mandatory vaccination Directions
• Flu Vaccination

Selection Criteria Essential: Post graduate qualifications relevant to perioperative areas or equivalent
Essential: Minimum of 4 years experience working in operating theatres
Desirable: Previous experience in management
