Our Renal Service is well-established, offering nephrology, transplantation (work-up and post-acute care) and dialysis services across multiple sites. A recent review/re-structure of our service has created some exciting opportunities within our service and we are now seeking a talented individual to join our team as Nurse Unit Manager for our Satellite Haemodialysis unit at Barwon Health North (BHN).

About the role

The Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Satellite Haemodialysis unit at BHN. This unit, established in March 2020, provides haemodialysis and haemodiafiltration treatment for renal patients in the Northern suburbs of Geelong. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in a supportive and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professionalism.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Satellite Haemodialysis unit, including staff scheduling, resource management, and adherence to protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure the provision of safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients undergoing haemodialysis and haemodiafiltration treatments.
