14th February, 2024 We have multiple opportunities for dedicated and experienced Nurse Unit Managers to join a well-established Hospital in beautiful Launceston, Tasmania. As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead a team of skilled nurses in providing exceptional patient care within our hospital unit. Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive care. Manage unit resources effectively, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies, to meet patient needs and budgetary constraints. Foster a positive work environment by providing leadership, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development. Oversee administrative tasks such as scheduling, performance evaluations, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research projects to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, specifically in a hospital setting. Strong clinical skills and knowledge, with a commitment to evidence-based practice. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to effectively manage resources and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records. Current CPR and Advanced Life Support certifications. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
