ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Theatre leader to join our professional, experienced and dynamic team. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the Theatre department while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a customer focused approach to delivering exceptional care. The successful candidate will work closely with their Surgical Services Manager to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met, strategic objectives are delivered, and business growth is achieved.
In this rewarding opportunity you will join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as Nurse Unit Manager in our Theatre department at our Fitzroy campus. This role will be full time working 38 hours per week and will be pivotal in the delivery of an outstanding Theatre Services.

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding Theatre Nurse Unit Manager, you are a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, an experienced leader in an Theatre setting for at least 2 years, and have post graduate qualifications or working towards.
Your skills and roles will include:
- Providing overall management of the Theatre unit to maximise effective business and patient outcomes
- Establishing, developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff, customers, Visiting Medical Practitioners (VMPs), patients, families and significant others
- Providing direction, support and advice to nursing staff and other support personnel
- Developing and maintaining a budget and to interpret performance data for reporting purposes.
